About Us

It all begins with an idea. Ours was simple—to build a grain box that would last for years to come.

Alberta Box Centre Inc. began in 1988 with just three employees building custom wooden boxes. From the start, the focus was on durability, practicality, and building something that could stand up to real working conditions in the field. As our reputation grew, so did our experience, and we expanded into becoming a dealer for Midland and Cancade boxes. This gave us valuable insight into different designs, strengths, and weaknesses in the industry, and helped shape the direction of our own manufacturing.

In 1993, we took the next step and began producing our own custom steel grain and silage boxes. That original design has remained largely unchanged ever since—because it works. It is proven, simple, and built for longevity. Many of our customers are still using the same boxes they purchased over 20 years ago, a true reflection of the strength and reliability we strive for in every build.

As customer needs evolved, so did our product line. In 2000, we designed and introduced the Magnum 2000 box. With its rounded radius side design, it allows for smoother material flow and significantly cleaner dumping compared to traditional box styles. It quickly became one of our most popular designs, valued for its superior performance, efficiency, and long-term durability. While it represents a higher-end investment, customers continue to choose the Magnum 2000 for its proven reliability and lasting value. The Magnum 2000 remains a strong part of our product line today.

Over the years, Alberta Box Centre has grown steadily into a full-service fabrication facility. We now offer a wide range of services including custom box manufacturing, flat decks, trailer and equipment repairs, structural fabrication, sandblasting, painting, and fully custom-built solutions tailored to customer needs.

Despite our growth, our focus has never changed. We believe in building equipment that is straightforward, overbuilt, and dependable in the harsh conditions of Western Canada. Every project we take on reflects that commitment—from the first weld to the final coat of paint.

Today, Alberta Box Centre continues to serve farmers, contractors, and commercial operators across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and the United States.

Built for the job. Built to last. Built to work as hard as you do.
